Following a below-par lineup in July, Microsoft seems to have heard the clamor of its Xbox Live Gold subscribers by giving them some games that are worth playing. Not only that, but you will also get the value of your money.
The August Games with gold were announced for the first time by XBL Major Nelson spokesman; combined, the four free games are worth around $ 100 (£ 76). As always, there will be two free Xbox One games and two free Xbox 360 games that can be played on Xbox One via backward compatibility.
From August 1 until the end of the month, Xbox players can claim a free copy of the magnificent racing game Forza Horizon 2 for Xbox One. And from September 16 to 15, too the game of action and fantasy is at stake For Honor . Despite not selling especially well after its launch last year, this so-called "sword shooter" received many positive reviews: the online and comparison modes are especially competitive.
The latest generation offers are also generous; the first course is a portion of petrifying horror with Dead Space 3 that combines the tense action on the shoulder of Resident Evil with a story and a scenario reminiscent of science fiction film classics like Aliens, Solaris and, Horizon of events. The second game of Xbox 360, a children's title of Disney, could not be more different. Disney Epic Mickey 2: Power of Two will be available from August 16 to August 31.
And do not forget that until September 15 you can play the colorful multi-player puzzle Death Squared until August 15 as well. Watch the video below for a general description of the type of game you can expect from August games with gold titles.

Games with Gold: Everything you need to know
What is Xbox Games with Gold?
Xbox Games with Gold is the version of Microsoft's PlayStation Plus, a monthly collection of free games for Xbox Live Gold subscribers. Once a game has left Games with Gold, you can keep the games and play them as long as you maintain an active subscription to Xbox Live Gold.
How much does Xbox Games with Gold cost?
Games with Gold comes in part with a subscription to Xbox Live Gold.
Choosing a subscription to Xbox Live Gold costs just £ 6 per month, but can be purchased as a three-month package for £ 15 or 12 months for £ 40. For that price, you will have access to online games for Xbox 360 and Xbox One, as well as exclusive offers in the Microsoft store, saved in the cloud, capture edition suites and free games through Games with gold. Not so bad.
How often are Xbox games updated with gold?
Technically, Xbox games with gold change every first day of the month. However, Microsoft has a tiered system to launch its games with gold titles. Unlike Sony, which launches its six free games at once, Microsoft tends to launch two titles in the first half of the month, and two others replace them in the second half.
Xbox Games with Gold also offers you one Xbox One and one compatible with Xbox 360 at the same time. Those are replaced by another Xbox One and Xbox 360 title in the middle of the month. Sometimes, Microsoft allows independent titles to go through Gold Games for a whole month, so you could end up with five games instead of four.
