Weebly is now part of Square, but continues to be updated as an independent product. This week, for example, the company announced a series of new e-commerce features for the Weebly mobile application.
These features include the ability to send and print labels, to answer customer questions (through Facebook Messenger, which can be embedded in Weebly sites to approve customer reviews, create coupon codes Brand and edit all aspects of your store, including the list of products and prices, all from the application.
Much of this functionality already existed on desktop computers, so the ad is about moving these capabilities to smartphones In a blog post, the company described a vision for the mobile phone to become "the new office."
Weebly CEO David Rusenko told me that as his team has added more features for merchants, wants people to think of Weebly "increasingly as an e-commerce platform", not just a simple website builder. for mobile devices was an important part of that.
"This is what our customers were requesting," Rusenko said. "Basically, people take their business lifestyle and are free to work anywhere."
And apparently mobile usage has already increased significantly, with a 75 percent increase in the last year for customers using the Weebly mobile application to manage orders, as well as a 120 percent increase in the use of mobile devices to manage product listings.
