We are big fans of the Swedish designer Love Hultén, whose many retro creations have blurred the line between the contraption and the piece of art. Its latest, the Pyua, is both a tribute to Nintendo and a console compatible with the classic NES and Famicom cartridges. Hultén says that the functions of Pyua, "without delay of entry or degradation of the original games".
The Pyua can generate up to 1080p through an HDMI cable and comes with two custom wireless NES drivers, created by nostalgic people at 8BitDo.
If you're lucky enough to have a Pyua, Hultén occasionally makes his creations available: you'll have a display case that serves as a console for your classic Nintendo games, more wireless controllers, and the Exit convenience at 1080p HD. But where do you keep all those precious cartridges? In a personalized wooden case that supports up to 20 games, made by Hultén himself.
It is not the first time that we see a modern version of Hultén's retro games. OriginX was another of Hultén's creations, a custom-made walnut arcade cabinet priced at $ 3,416.52 and limited to only 50 units.
Here is a short clip where you can see Hultén's Pyua in action; Most likely, it's the only way you can see it.
