Making the old feel new again

A refreshing leap in time
In the last game of Battlefield, DICE takes players to the past until World War I and in doing so completely rejuvenates the once stagnant franchise.
The game offers a poignant and entertaining campaign for a player that sets a new standard for the first person shooter. Broken into six sections, each following a different character and first-line location, the campaign never feels boring or repetitive, and even feeds perfectly in the multiplayer mode of Battlefield 1 that, while familiar, also benefits from breath of life that the configuration change requires so much.
Graphically impressive, entertaining, and sometimes poignant, Battlefield 1 is a return to the form of the series.

Beautiful and frustrating in equal measure
After a long development and a lot of anticipation, the exclusive Xbox Cuphead video game has finally been released. It was worth the wait? Certainly Cuphead is a running and shooting platform with stationary levels of boss fighting.
With images and a soundtrack inspired by the animation of 1930 but with a game inspired by the platforms of the 80s, this game has torn us since we tried it for the first time. Gamescom. It's lovely to watch but his game is challenging and you'll find yourself frustrated and dying a lot.
I enjoyed Cuphead so much that we called it Best Xbox Exclusive in our 2017 Game of the Year Awards.
Even so, it is an independent experience that should not be missed and you will only find it on Xbox and PC.
Master the remaster
Dark Souls is an iconic series in the world of video games and with this remaster has the opportunity to return to where everything started in 2011, but with better visual fidelity and performance. All to see those horrible and punishing enemies.
This is the same original game with all its DLC, but that's not bad. Dark Souls is a fantastic title that must be played and it's great to see it in the latest generation of consoles. Not only because the framerate capped at 60 fps makes the game experience much more fluid and exciting.
An intelligent, stealthy and steampunk adventure
After the surprise success of 2012, Dishonored was not going to be an easy task, but Dishonored 2 has fulfilled its expectations.
Picking up 15 years after the original events, Dishonored 2 takes the players back to the Steampunk Victorian town of Dunwall. This time, however, you can choose whether or not you want to play the protagonist of the original title, Corvo, or your equally protected patron Emily.
Dishonored 2 does not differ much from the first game, but there was nothing wrong with Dishonored in the first place. What we get is a much improved vision and close to perfection.
Someone who likes his games full of atmosphere, character and a little ingenuity and intelligence will find that Dishonored 2 is worth retaking.

A retro-slash-modern game across the underworld
DOOM is very, very good. Not in a kind of "wow, that's good for a remake," either. It's really a great shooting game, so much so that we gave a Game of the Year award in 2016. While Overwatch reinvents the wheel for first-person shooter games, DOOM impresses us by taking us back to the time when dial-up Internet access was the only way to access AOL's email: DOOM is, in many ways, an excellent evolution of what the series was 20 years ago. It is brutal. It is bloody. It has diabolical and terrifying creatures that bleed when you cut them in half with a chainsaw. It is the experience we wanted two decades ago but I could not articulate it due to the limitations of technology.

Inquisition is the proverbial role banquet. A series of 200-hour missions, remnants of magic, landscapes of postcards and well-written character interactions, which are sometimes too familiar, but which make up for it with great generosity.
It puts you in charge not only of a group of four adventurers, but also a private army with its own castle and an assistant strategic metagame, charged with defeating a mysterious demonic threat.
The choice of Unreal Engine allows vast open environments and a sexually charged combat of SFX. – Fortunately, you can stop the latter to issue orders if the attack becomes overwhelming. It is a giant of the genre.
The return home that we have waited seven years for
In short, this is one of the best games that Bethesda has made. It meets all the requirements: a massive and detail-oriented open world; still fantastic principles of looting and shooting; a story full of intriguing secondary searches and subplots that seem important; and, of course, a classic soundtrack that gives it life.
In many ways, it's the game we've been waiting for since Fallout 3 pushed the series away from its role-playing roots from top to bottom. Not only is the world itself broader, but the plot is better and more digestible than any of the previous games. There is still a sense of mystery about what is happening, but you do not have to dig forever and one day through the terminals to put it together.

A free 1 vs 100 shooting game on an epic scale [19659014] Fortnite Battle Royale is a certified gaming phenomenon. Facing 100 players against each other on a single map, it merges with a fun competitive streak and has attracted millions of players around the world.
When you start, they throw you to an island without weapons. or armor and you must look for supplies and fight for your life to be the last man (or squad) standing at the end of the game. The drawback is that the map closes as the game progresses, forcing players to skirmish stricter and, often, to intermittent encounters. Best of all, though, the game is available for free on Xbox One, with in-game purchases limited to purely cosmetic options.
If you're relatively financially restricted and need something that tied you up until the next big release, Fortnite is better than the rest.

But such a revelation should not be a shock: this is the cover shooter that turned the shooters of covers into a genre full of fashion for himself, so too drastically with that special sauce was never a viable option.
Instead, the Xbox One and the Xbox One S get the Gears of War template that we all know and love with some extra features that blend smoothly into the pot. Yes, including one of the best games of the last generation among the best of this generation is pretty boring, but GTA V on Xbox One is too good for ignore it, with high definition images, a longer drawing distance and a faster frame rate.

Hellblade: The Sacrifice of Senua is the first attempt of the developer Ninja Theory to publish his own game and it is quite an achievement. The game follows Senua, a Celtic warrior who suffers from psychosis who travels to hell to rescue his lost lover.
The game uses an interesting mix of binaural audio and innovative visual techniques to communicate Senua's experience with his psychosis to the player. resulting in a game that is probably quite different from anything else you have played recently.
Disturbing, insightful and extremely enjoyable to play, this is a game worth watching and we're glad to see it make its debut on Xbox One. The owners of Xbox One X will have the advantage of being able to choose between three visual modes that promote resolution, framerate or visual richness.

How many Serpents do you need to change a light bulb?
Okay, then Hideo Kojima's last game for Konami – and his last Metal Gear game – could be a bit difficult to manage for the MGS n00b, but it's still one of the best stealth action games ever created. The antics of the open world will satisfy all your fantasies behind enemy lines / Rambo and probably confuse you with crazy plot turns and a million characters, all with the same taxed voices.
But hey, that's part of his charm
Bold, bright and brutal
Middle Earth: Shadow of War is the sequel to the successful Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor and is based on all its strengths.

You've probably heard before the Monster Hunter franchise: it's a classic that has lasted a long time. But we have not seen it on the console for a while. Until now. Monster Hunter: World is the debut of the franchise in the latest generation of consoles and is a true breath of fresh air.
Giving players the option to play alone or form a team with up to three more friends, this game invites you to a world of live game and breathing to hunt some monsters. For research. And fun
You face a learning curve with Monster Hunter: World and the combat style of dark souls has the potential to thwart, but this is the most accessible Monster Hunter game we've seen in years. If you've been looking for the opportunity to enter the series, here it is.

A Metroid-Vania platform game with lightweight role-playing and heart-charging
Although Ori was released at the beginning of the Xbox One's life cycle, it's still one of the best platform games on the console, without exception. Surprisingly beautiful and ultra-mortal, the world of Ori and Blind Forest inspires and impresses to the same extent. Add to that the phenomenal control scheme, easy to learn, hard to master and the light RPG elements, and has the recipe for a timeless classic.
Sure, there are some sequences that are not quite as enjoyable as the rest of the game (we are looking at timed sequences of post-boss fighting) but finally this is a series that continues to captivate you long after you lose control.
Have not you had enough Ori in your life? We learned that the game will have a sequel in 2019 called Ori and Will of the Wisps. It will start where history was left (no spoilers, please!) And you will see Ori making his way through the forest of the same name for a second race.
The shooter based on the equipment you need to buy on Xbox One
Overwatch has undoubtedly been one of our favorite games of last year, earning our 2016 Game of the Year award.
It's a classic Blizzard arena game that establishes two teams of six people of wildly different characters against each other in a bright and cartoon sci-fi universe. And even though it feels similar to the Call of Duty you've played before, Overwatch turns traditional shooters into their heads by adding unique character abilities and cooldowns to the mix that force you to strategize from time to time instead of run blind from room to room.
Excellent graphics, tight maps and a good list of characters to enjoy playing. Overwatch is a good old-fashioned fun and we highly recommend it.
A chilling return to form
Your game collection is not really complete if it does not have a quality horror title and if we had to suggest one it would be the new installment of the Resident Evil franchise.
Resident Evil is the franchise that put the survival-horror games on the map and, although it lost some of its way in later titles, the last game is a return to form for Capcom.
Going back to the basic principles of survival and terror, Capcom has turned Resident Evil 7 into a truly frightening and stimulating game experience. If you have a stomach for spilled blood, it's worth playing.

The name of the game is freedom in the last and extensive performance of Lara
Despite being the sequel to a prequel about the young life of Lara Croft, this still feels like a Tomb Raider game that has grown . The restart that saw a brave new direction for the franchise seemed to be a big part of the time to be little more than a lightweight Uncharted cosplay, but Rise is a much more accomplished game.
Now there's a genuine open world that feels like there's always something to do, and more than collecting collectibles in exchange for a light XP cleanup. There are also graves. Yes, that might seem a fatuous thing to say the name, but the previous game played down their importance. However, in Rise they are deeper and more abundant. Rise also has one of the best narrations of any game Tomb Raider, written again by Rhianna Pratchett, sometimes it is quite moving.
So come on, leave the wasteland of Fallout 4 for a while and give Lara a little love.
They had the technology to reconstruct it, better than before
The original Titanfall was a great game, so great that for a long time it occupied a place in this list. However, its sequel, Titanfall 2, improves it in every conceivable way: the movement is more fluid, there are more different titans to choose from and, clinging to their hats here, there is actually a single-player campaign that could take the Palm of the hand. The best story of shooter in the first person of the year.
The pedigree of this game is inherited from one of the most intelligent and unusual shooters of this generation. The original Titanfall was married to a ninja fast fighter to the glorious and macabre thrill of piloting the giant mechs, which are summoned from orbit a few minutes before each game.
The ability with which Respawn has balanced this mix of styles in the sequel is remarkable: the titans have a firepower in excess but are easy to reach, and the maps offer many places for the infantry to hide. These ideas come together in one of the most notable entries of this year in the genre and is worthy of his own shot in the spotlight, as well as a Game of the Year nomination.
The stories are not bigger than this

Are you looking for an amazing single-player action game? Look no further, the wonder of 2017 that was Wolfenstein II. Going back to where the original game was, this game is a timely social commentary and a superbly silly adventure, all in one well-written package.
With tight mechanics and a story worth worrying about this is one of the most satisfying first-person shooters we've played in a long time. In our full review, we call it "expertly crafted" and we recommend that you play it now.
A strong and emotionally compelling narrative
Life is Strange is an episodic graphic adventure that tells the story of Max, who returns to his hometown and meets with his best friend Chloe, who is a little more rebellious than that remember .
In addition to trying to navigate the difficulties of teenage life, Max discovers that he has the ability to rewind time at any time and only she can avoid a storm on his way to destroy his hometown.
Instead of focusing on combat, the crux of Life is Strange is Max's choice (AKA you) and the effect that these choices have on general history.
