Sprint offers unlimited free 4G LTE to people who own specific computers with Snapdragon for the rest of the year. The promotion will help users who have one of the first "Always Connected" Windows PCs, which usually require paid data plans, as detected by Engadget .
People who buy HP Envy x2, Lenovo Miix 630 or Asus NovaGo can get free LTE from Sprint, which lasts until December 31 this year. After this year, the data plan will cost $ 5 (with automatic payment) or $ 15 per month unless you cancel it. A data connection is one of the big points of sale for these devices, and Sprint clearly expects that after several months of service, the owners will find it valuable enough to start paying.
Sprint does not sell these devices, so you'll have to buy them yourself and switch to the company to get the deal. That means you will have to get a SIM card online, in the store, or send it with the PC and then manually activate the free LTE.
Sprint is not the only operator that has tested this promotional strategy. In 2014, T-Mobile offered 1GB of tablet data for free until the end of the year for anyone switching to it.
