Sky gets Royal Wedding fever – will broadcast it live on Sky Q in Ultra HD

Sky has announced that it is ready to give the Royal Wedding the image quality it deserves, broadcasting the next nuptials of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry in Ultra HD.

Shooting such a big live event in 4K is a massive company movie for Sky. It will take 110 cameras and 160 technicians to produce the event and it will be the only station that shoots Ultra HD.

In addition, Sky will use 27km of cable, 10 satellite uplinks and 20 fiber circuits in
and Windsor and 19 separate UHF radio communication channels. Oh, and a helicopter.

Sky has been beefing up its Ultra HD catalog recently, which is currently only available to those with a Sky Q box. Most of its live 4K coverage, however, has focused on sports coverage, so It is definitely the station that enters unknown territory.

Speaking of the plans, John Ryley, director of Sky News, said: "Sky News will offer viewers a full coverage package on all of our platforms, however, they wish to follow the event on the day.

" incredibly excited to be the first and only presenter to televise a Royal Wedding in UHD and offer those who see the ceremony across the country an expert analysis, innovative technology and personalized coverage on mobile devices. "

Mobile coverage as Riley mentioned is a service that will automatically recognize the overlapping faces that go to St George's Chapel for the wedding and will give the user information about them.

All this will be available through Sky News application, in the right title section: Real Wedding: Who's Who Live.

The application will provide relevant information, such as your links to the real couple and how many times they have stado in Made In Chelsea (presumably). Unfortunately, British flags and confetti are not included in the Sky Q package. [19659012]
