Reese Witherspoon will make her own tour of the book.
The star of Big Little Lies led the social networks to announce that he will embark on a national tour this fall to promote his debut book, Whiskey in a teacup: what grew in the south he taught me about life, love and baking cookies.
Instagram's announcement included a collage of four images of the actress holding a cup of tea, with a caption that reads: "Hi everyone, I'm so excited to share that I'll take #WhiskeyInATeacup to your I'll spill tea on southern life: food, beauty, decoration, whatever, and I'll take a special guest to each stop! So label your best friends and come and chat with me! "
The autumn tour in eight cities begins in September in New York and includes stops in both Washington DC and the cities of the south. Entertainment Weekly reports that the publisher of the book, Touchstone, has said that Witherspoon will share personal stories on the tour, revealing how he entertains, decorates his home and makes vacations special for his family.
"My grandmother Dorothea always said it was a combination of beauty and strength that turned the southern women's whiskey into a cup of tea," Witherspoon said in a statement. "We can be delicate and ornamental on the outside, but we are strong and ardent on the inside, I am so excited to travel around the country and meet stronger women and share our stories."
