Greed was described as a satirical take on the world of the super rich, focusing on a ruthless, perma-tanned, self-absorbed retail billionaire. Steve Coogan will play this immoral entrepreneur, who hired a journalist with soft manners to chronicle the story of his life.
Greed is also starring David Mitchell ( Peep Show ) and Sacha Baron Cohen ( Borat ). Isla Fisher will join them in the role of the billionaire's wife. She is the only person who really understands it and all its complexities. Fisher's recent credits include cult comedies Arrested Development and Friends Comedy Tag .
This British comedy will start shooting later this year in Europe. The BAFTA winner and frequent Coogan collaborator, Michael Winterbottom, will be the director. They met on the set of the 2002 comedy 24 Hour Party People and later joined for the movie series The Trip .
