It's been over two years since Facebook first introduced the reactions to go along with the famous "I Like It" button, and about a year since those reactions were extended to the comments. At some point, reactions were added to Facebook Messenger as well. Now, however, Facebook is taking them to a completely different platform: Instagram.
Instagram is testing "Reactions" of the story. It works a bit like the Facebook Story Reaction pic.twitter.com/z2tAg8BcP2

To be clear, this is not the first Time reactions have been seen in Instagram stories. We found a tweet from the end of April of screenshots showing a fairly similar feature. Nor are we sure if that feature was exclusive to iOS, although several Twitter users responded saying that they had it for quite some time, or that it was live for everyone in their country.
left: No reactions. right: Reactions. Consider the design of the lower bar.
This time, however, the user interface is a bit different. While it seems that the previous version of this function only had the reactions when you started writing an answer, reactions now have a dedicated icon in the lower left.
There are six reactions: applause, cries of laughter (I prefer this one), eyes with hearts, faces with open mouths, tears and fire. It is definitely an interesting selection.
Our adviser saw this on Instagram v22.214.171.124.82 stable, but probably related to a server-side test and not the application version. Let us know if you have seen these reactions.
