Hulu discounts its HBO add-on just in time for Westworld

Hulu now offers a discount on its HBO add-on, synchronized with the premiere of Season 2 of Westworld this month. Now, instead of paying an additional $ 14.99 per month, Hulu subscribers can add HBO to their plan for only $ 4.99 per month. The discount lasts six months. After that, users will have to pay the full rate again.

Hulu began offering HBO as a complement last summer, coordinated with the return of Game of Thrones & # 39; seventh season. Other add-ons that Hulu offers include Cinemax and Showtime. With the add-on, users can sign in to HBO through Hulu or use their Hulu sign-in credentials to log in to HBO Now, the independent over-the-top version of HBO.

If you're also on the limited ad plan of $ 7.99 for Hulu, catching this HBO discount means you're only paying $ 12.98 a month for both. It's a better deal than simply paying separately for HBO, which usually costs $ 14.99.

Unfortunately, those who already have the HBO supplement are not eligible for the discount. And what's worse, those who are Spotify subscribers who have Hulu together with Spotify (which includes me) are also not eligible for HBO at a discount. Hulu really thought of everything. This feels the same as when a cashier in a retail store says they can not apply two discounts on the same shirt, and it feels bad.
