Films of the upcoming Huawei TalkBand B5 were leaked, confirming that once again, the company is trying to sell to people the concept started with the original TalkBand B1 in 2014: a wearable that combines functions of smart watch with Bluetooth headphones in a single device.
The escape, through the always reliable Evan Blass on Twitter does not reveal much about the next device. But since the previous model, the TalkBand B3, was released in 2016, Huawei has presumably made some improvements to the device, even if the design seems to be virtually identical at first glance.
But, as funny as the idea of Bluetooth-enabled headset watches is, it's a more recent patent from Huawei that could offer a much more interesting twist on where this kind of product might go: a smart watch that stores a truly wireless pair of headphones. Unfortunately, unlike TalkBand B5, that idea is still only a patent, but with Huawei still clearly interested in the concept, it could only be a matter of time before that idea also becomes a real product.
