Recently, Google has been busy updating the Google Pay application to support desktops, in addition to its well-known mobile support. Today, Google Pay is compatible with most major markets, service stations and department stores. Google Pay is a digital wallet and online payment system, developed by Google for phones, watches and desktop computers.
Despite all its capabilities, setting up a Google Pay profile is quite simple.
What do I need to configure? up to Google Pay?
First, you need a debit / credit card / PayPal account, a compatible device with Google Pay (Android phones not rooted with KitKat 4.4 and higher, Wear OS watch or a PC / Mac), an Internet connection and finally, a Google account
Unfortunately, Google Pay is not compatible with iOS devices for in-store payments. However, you can download and use G Pay Send, which allows you to send and receive payments using Google Pay, similar to applications such as Square Cash and Venmo.
How do I add cards to Google Pay?
To start using your mobile device, download the Google Pay app from the Play Store on Android. From there, log in to the G Pay application and start adding your preferred card (s). First touch the "Cards" option in the lower right corner, then touch the blue plus sign – from there you can take a picture of your card and have it added by Google, or enter it manually.
If you want to use G Pay on the web, look for websites with a "Buy with G Pay" badge and check all of your card information from the Google Pay account page.
Where can I use Google Pay?
In the real world, you can use Google Pay wherever you see a credit card terminal with these symbols. From there, all you have to do is move your phone or look up to the terminal's contact point, then wait for the blue mark that indicates that your information has been received from the Google Pay account.
If I can not pay in the store with an iPhone, what can I do with G Pay?
There is only one solution to use G Pay with an iPhone and that requires a compatible and compatible Wear OS watch (with NFC chip). Otherwise, you can only send and receive payments between G Pay users.
Can I use boarding passes, tickets for events, rewards cards, etc. ?
Yes, you can. However, these must be supported by who provided them. You can see a complete list of compatible services here.
Is Google Pay safe?
For those of you who worry that merchants have your credit card number when you tap to pay, this is how Google protects your information: a temporary encrypted number is shared with merchants, never the real number.
If you lose your phone completely, you can access the Android Device Manager from any computer with which you log in with your Google account. From there, you can remotely block, locate or delete your phone and all its contents.
