In the last two versions of Google Duo, Cody has found proof of rewards for inviting friends to install the application (v37 and v38). The scheme now seems to have started for users in the Philippines, possibly before its launch in other regions.
Clearly, the video call application is not as popular as Google expected, but maybe the bribes attract more users to install it. . Our latest APK Disarming revealed rewards, such as coverage of some of the costs of using data, as well as actual cash rewards paid through the application formally known as Tez, the Indian version of Google Pay. We could have expected the reward scheme to begin in India, then, but the Philippines is the first we know.
A nice blue gift.
According to a Duo support page, users in the Philippines who are Smart or Globe customers will be rewarded with 100MB of credited data in their accounts. At the top of the list of contacts is the link Invite friends. Whenever the recipient installs and activates the latest version of Duo, and it is the first time it does so, a reward will be issued. Notifications will be sent when a reward has been obtained, which will then be applied automatically by the carrier. You can get a total of 10 invitation rewards per user, which represents a total of 1 GB in game.
The terms and conditions only apply to the Philippines at the time of writing, but it is likely that we can expect the plan to be implemented. other regions (like India) in due time. It is still unclear if it will be limited to countries in Asia.
