Comcast’s mesh Wi-Fi extender pods are now available

Comcast has released new Xfinity xFi Pods, which are Wi-Fi mesh extenders intended to combat dead zones in homes. We wrote about the capsules last year, but their release was delayed. They are small modules that can be plugged into a power outlet and combined with the xFi wireless gateway or the advanced xFi gateway. The XFi Pods are supposed to continue to check the Wi-Fi connections of the house and control their own performance.

To configure the xFi Pods, all you need to do is download the xFi mobile application, which is available for iOS and Android. , and the application will give you instructions on how to pair the Pods with the compatible router. Then you can continue to monitor the status of all your Wi-Fi devices through the application.
