Bethesda partners with West Virginia Tourism Office to promote Fallout 76

Bethesda Softworks joined the West Virginia Tourism Office to promote Fallout 76.

The West Virginia Tourist Office announced the partnership in a press release (through Gamespot), revealing that it will create advertising strategies to educate players The unique landscape and culture of West Virginia, in addition to offering players the opportunity to visit the state for themselves in an effort to seize the opportunity to reach a new and engaged audience.

The latest addition to the Fallout franchise, Fallout 76, takes place in a post-nuclear West Virginia and contains recreations of real state locations such as Greenbrier, Woodburn Circle and New River Gorge Bridge.

In addition, the game will feature mutated creatures inspired by West Virginia folklore, such as Mothman.

"It's finally the time when the rest of the world sees what a jewel in West Virginia is," said West Virginia Governor Jim Justice.

"For years, I've been saying we have it all: beautiful landscapes, the best people you could ask for and more, and now, we can share a piece of that with people from all over the world through the unique lens of this video game. "

The Tourist Office said it will reveal more details about the promotional partnership in the coming weeks, including advertising opportunities and tours.

Fallout will be released for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on November 14.
