Google's ARCore team has just released a new update that seems to bring the augmented reality framework to several more phones and tablets . Some new (and upcoming) devices are on the list, such as the Galaxy Note9, OnePlus 6T and the ROG phone. These are also joined some older models such as Sony Xperia X.

Disarmed

Disclaimer: The disassemblies are based on evidence found within the apk (package of Android applications) and are necessarily speculative and generally they are based on incomplete information. It is possible that the assumptions made here are erroneous or inaccurate. Even when the predictions are correct, there is always the possibility that the products change or cancel. Like the rumors, nothing is certain until it has been officially announced and published.

The functions described below are probably not yet live, or can only be live for a small percentage of users. Unless stated otherwise, do not expect to see these features if you install the apk. All screenshots and images are true unless otherwise indicated, and the images are only modified to delete personal information.

Recently admitted devices

This list is compiled from the device profiles included in ARCore APK. Those profiles are given a key name associated with the device, but some of the names are still unknown, usually because they belong to hardware that is not currently published. As a result, some entries in the list are marked as unknown or rumored based on the information available.

Note that the presence of the profiles does not automatically mean that the compatibility of the device is fully operational, but it is quite good. indicator. If you have one of these devices, you should be able to install ARCore from the Play Store, but keep in mind that it is known to take from a few hours to a few days before the Play Store allows access to recently supported devices. Alternatively, you can download the update from APK Mirror if you want to upload it.
