If you live in France, you can preorder an Amazon Echo device, with shipments from Echo and Echo Dot to start the week of June 11, followed by Echo Spot next month. Additional devices enabled by the Alexa Skill Kit will also begin shipping in France this month, as will Alexa's skills.
"We have built a completely new experience from scratch that honors the French language and culture, allowing customers to only request music, weather, news, information and more, just by asking," said Amazon Vice President Jorrit Van Der Meulen, in a press release. "And there are already hundreds of skills for French customers of some of the most popular brands in France."
Prices have been discounted for launch, with the Echo Dot at a price of € 29.99 (marked from € 59.99), Echo € 49.99 (usually € 99.99), and Echo Spot € 64.99 (usually € 129.99). French buyers must expect localized skills from brands such as Netatmo, Philips Hue, Uber, Domino & # 39; s Pizza, TP-Link, franceinfo, Legrand and La Fourchette; and Alexa-compatible devices from brands such as Harman Kardon, Sonos, Ultimate Ears, Netgem, Archos, Boulanger and Sowee, according to Amazon.
France joins a growing list of Alexa-enabled countries, including the US United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Japan, India, Ireland and Canada.
