Venezuelan DJ and music producer Arca has collaborated with luxury retailer Ssense and leather company Fleet Ilya to design a pair of leather BDSM headphones for $ 6,450. For real. The headphones are integrated into a leather cage helmet with studded details. It has ear pads covered in suede, a built-in remote control and adjustable collar. Unfortunately, they are not wireless, so you will have to connect your BDSM headphones to a music source.
According to the product page, the headphones are sold "exclusively as an artistic object, and are provided as-is without warranties or guarantees". In other words, if you're spending so much on an art piece, do not expect to get any reimbursement if the leather starts to wear out. Worryingly, the disclaimer also states: "The use of the product by the user is at the user's own risk," which makes me wonder if the manufacturers really want people to use it to listen music at all.
Arca revealed the collaboration in an Instagram post, saying: "hey, I designed some headphones, it's informal, they're really cheap, choose a pair or not, or whatever, anyway, I'm locking you in the sound ", ending with a red lips emoji.
If you really like these headphones, they are available now. Be quick, however, since only one pair remains. And if they are a bit expensive for your taste, Arca sells only the leather helmet for $ 5,275 (without headphones), eliminating the pretext that he will use them for music.
