Instagram is receiving a makeover, with a lot of new features that are already on the photo sharing platform.
In today's Facebook F8 conference, Instagram listed all changes made to the platform, including video calls, AR Filters, a redesigned scanned page, and a new anti-bullying feature in the comments section. Instagram will also allow more apps to be integrated into Stories, starting with Spotify and GoPro.

The addition of Spotify will allow users to share a playlist, song or album with followers through Stories or through a direct Instagram message.
The integration of GoPro is also just as simple: users simply need to choose a clip in the GoPro application and share it directly in Stories, with the ability to edit the video before sharing it.
Neither Spotify nor GoPro will need to be linked to Instagram accounts, since the exchange occurs locally on the device through the Instagram application.
Complete Filters
With AR Studio from Facebook at your disposal, Instagram is building custom filters for your own platform, and not only for the front camera, but also for the back. Instagram users will be able to apply facial filters for selfies and "global effects" for other snapshots.
AR filters are already being used on Instagram by "influencers" such as Ariana Grande and Vogue. Users who detect the effects can "test" it directly from the story and add it to the camera tray.
Instagram also takes a firm stance on bullying by adding a filter for offensive comments. The filter will identify comments in appearance or threatening comments and remove them. The anti-bullying filter will be set to the on position automatically once deployed, but can be turned off in the comment controls.
Face to face talking
The long-rumored video chat feature deployed on the platform will allow up to four Instagram installers to connect through the application. The participants of the call can minimize the video chat and continue navigating inside the application, while the other callers sit in a corner.
Navigation will also be simplified with the redesigned Explore page, which will have photo category icons on a carousel.
In fact, Facebook has announced that the group video chat feature will also be implemented in WhatsApp, allowing up to four users to join a single call.
