Cristiano Ronaldo of Real Madrid has added a new record to his collection, becoming the titular player of the Champions League.
The former Manchester United star made his 152nd Champions League appearance in the second leg of the Madrid semifinal with Bayern Munich on Tuesday.
That saw him surpass the previous record holder Xavi, who played in 151 games in the competition in his brilliant career with Barcelona.
Ronaldo's former teammate at Real Madrid, Porto goalkeeper Iker Casillas, has the record for most appearances by any player with 167.
Madrid entered the second leg at Santiago Bernabeu with an advantage of 2-1 from the first game in the Allianz Arena.
