In his first game after the gates closed after Zimbabwe entered the World Cup after a heartbreaking defeat against the United Arab Emirates, Sikandar Raza's blizzard helped the Gazi Group's cricketers to his victory over Kheleghar for 34 races Samaj Kallyan Samity in the Super League of the Dhaka Premier League.
Raza connected seven four and four six in his 84 innings that drove the Gazi Group to 304 for 6 in 50 overs. Raza built a solid platform of 108 for 2 in the 21 more, established by Imrul Kayes (63) and Mominul Haque (47). He put 55 with Asif Ahmed for the fourth wicket and then added another 71 runs with Nadif Chowdhury, before falling in the 47th final. Nadif hit three sixes and a four in his 35-ball 45.
In response, Khelaghar's starters Robiul Islam and Mahidul Islam collected 108 runs for the starting spot. Both batters were fired in the 60s, but the middle order could not build on the good work. That meant that 44 of 41 balls of Mausam Khan in the n. ° 7 were in vain since Khelaghar still fell short. Abu Hider took three fields, while Mahedi Hasan took two.
The second consecutive centennial of Unmukt Chand helped Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club defeated the table-toppers Abahani Limited for 26 races at Grillo Fatullah Stadium.
Batting first, Dhanmondi Club reached 256 for 8 in 50 overs, with Chand scoring with 101 of 138 balls that included eight fours and three sixes. He shared a 90-run starting position with Shykat Ali, and a third 81-race wicket with Tanbir Hayder, before Dhanmondi lost six wickets for 81 races.
Mashrafe Mortaza, who had just taken three fields, then came out to open the batting for the first time in his List-A career. But he had a short stay, as did many of the other high and mid-order hitters. The lower order did much better with solid contributions, but Abahani was limited to 230, nonetheless. Abu Jayed and Robiul Haque took three plots each.
Batting first, Doleshwar reached 257 for 5 in 50 overs in the later part of the third century of Liton Das in the tournament. He hit nine four and two six in his 126-ball hit. After completing 69 races for the first wicket with Imtiaz Hossain, Liton put together a second window position of 113 races with Fazle Mahmud (46). Prime Doleshwar lost four wickets in the last 10 overs, but fast bursts from Iqbal Abdulla (42 * of 22) and Farhad Reza (29 of 22) ensured they would not hurt the end.
Chasing 258 to win, Naim and Abdul Mazid started off very well with an opening position of 140 races. Naim hit six four and five six in his 101-ball hit. Mazid was much calmer, collecting 58 of 90 balls. After their layoffs, Mushfiqur Rahim (41) and Naeem Islam (31) approached Rupganj before winning with eight balls to spare.
