Owners of LG V30 are annoyed by the debut of the smarter LG V30S ThinQ no longer have to feel so forgotten, as the AI update built into the V30S ThinQ is also starting to reach the V30.
Verizon V30 users can update the software on their phones and install the AI features and change the name of the phone to LG V30 ThinQ, reports Droid Life.
AT & T users received a similar update for the LG V30 in March. LG had previously announced that it is ThinQ AI would come to the LG V30, and it seems that it fulfills that promise. This update brings one more phone to the ThinQ brand that LG has established, which includes the aforementioned LG V30S ThinQ and the upcoming LG G7 ThinQ.
What's in the update?
The ThinQ update may not help the LG V30 reach the rivals that now work with the latest Snapdragon 845 chipset, but it will offer some new features in the camera department. QLens will give the LG V30 ThinQ a scanning feature, making it easy to search for an item on Amazon or Pinterest or scan a QR code.
AI Cam will serve as a polished version of the normal automatic mode in the camera application. Try using AI to recognize what you are looking at and adjust the settings of the camera to get the best possible picture. It may be useful, although it is not completely infallible, as we learned during our review of the LG V30S ThinQ.
