In addition to directing, the two-time Emmy winner will also be in charge of rewriting the script with Anthony McCarten, whose credits include The Theory of Everything and Darkest Hour .
The specification script focuses on the love story of Lennon and Ono along with themes of love, courage, activism and peace. Producer Josh Bratman was the one who managed to win Yoko Ono and convince her to tell the story of her relationship with the co-founder of The Beatles on the big screen. Vallée agreed to join the project after meeting Ono, who connected with the art of her work and the vision of a love story for the ages immediately
