Several Netflix programs ended up in a block cut in recent weeks, but not Disenchantment . The animated series has been officially renewed for the second season.
Disenchantment was created by Matt Groening, the mastermind behind The Simpsons and Futurama . It takes place in the medieval kingdom of Dreamland and follows the adventures of the rebellious Princess Bean, who takes control of her own destiny along with her diminutive companion Elfo, and her personal demon Luci. The doors of Dreamland will remain open for at least another two years. Netflix ordered 20 new episodes, and will be vaporized on two separate beaches, divided in two years. Groening and his team will start plotting new episodes as soon as the second part of the first season returns in 2019.
"We are excited to continue this epic journey with Netflix, stay tuned for more suspense, disrespectful twists in the plot, and Beloved characters that are eliminated, "Groening said.
