Anyone who has used Sony's PlayStation Now service, or any platform that allows them to stream games over the Internet, will be familiar with the frustration of having their connection lost midway through the session.
As of today, PD Now will allow players to download titles of the service to be able to play them offline, up to the same level of 4K resolution and 5.1 surround sound as transmitted titles.
PD You now have hundreds of titles available to stream over Wi-Fi or ethernet connections – Bloodborne, God of War 3 and DiRT Rally to name a few – giving players a way to access AAA and independent titles without occupying a precious space on the hard drive.
The function is being implemented for users during the rest of September, so if you can not see the function in your PS Now application, it should be there in the coming days. Players will also need to connect online at least once a week to verify that their subscription is still active; otherwise, downloaded games will return from where they came from.
