Rool, we now know that Isabelle of the Animal Crossing franchise will now join the cast of Super Smash Bros Ultimate when the game arrives. on December 7, 2018.
We've run for everything else, including some limited edition packages, in our news and rumors section below …
Nintendo scared us for a minute. After spending a full year without hearing anything about a new game Super Smash Bros., we had almost lost hope.
And then, out of the blue during a Nintendo Direct, Nintendo dropped the news: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is the next generation in the series that comes to Nintendo Switch later this year. The details were scarce then, but we knew enough to get excited.
Fast forward to today when we know more about the game than ever. We know that this is a new entry to the genre of honesty, not a remake or port of Wii U or Nintendo 3DS, and that will include all fighters included in a game of Smash, yes, even the third. -DLC characters from the last game.
In addition to the massive list of returning characters, Nintendo surprised us with three new exclusive Ultimate wrestlers including Ridley, Inkling and Daisy, as well as King K. Rool and Simon and Richter Belmont of Castlevania fame. Along with the E3 revelation of space pirate Ridley, there is a lot of fan service going on, and we are very much at your disposal.
The latter is part of Super Smash Bros & apos; the new Echo Fighter system in which you need a fighter from the list, in this case Peach, and rework your skills for a different style of play. The result is a character that is different, but familiar.
There will be new elements and maps to accompany the characters, as well as hundreds of mechanical touches that the Director of the Series, Masahiro Sakurai, is personally supervising.
The latter may seem a little exaggerated, but this is the closest we'll get to a complete collection and one that has serious eSports potential.

Revealed in E3
Good news for those enthusiastic about Super Smash Bros: the game was the star of Nintendo & apos ; s show E3. During the live broadcast, Masahiro Sakurai of Nintendo revealed almost everything we wanted to know about the next installment of the Super Smash Bros series that will arrive on December 7, 2018. A Nintendo Direct broadcast on August 8 also added a lots of new things and changes in the entrance.

Everyone is here
All the characters that have appeared in Super Smash Bros are about to get back to the Switch version. Each and every one. Nintendo has so far announced more than 60 characters, including the return of Ice Climbers as a duo and Pichu from Super Smash Bros. Melee. We will also see crossed characters that come back like Sonic and Solid Snake.
The first new characters that were announced were the Inkling of the Splatoon series and the space pirate Ridley of the Metroid series.
Available as both boy or girl character (with dozens of clothing options and style), Inkling attacks revolve around the different weapons available in Splatoon and opponents in ink receive more damage from attacks. Users will also have to press the B button while their shield is ready to reload their ammunition.
Ridley, meanwhile, appeared briefly on Nintendo's E3 2018 Direct, and it looks like it will be very aerial -focused character with dive pump moves.
The latest Nintendo Direct also introduced vampire hunter Simon Belmont of Castlevania, with his iconic whip and an explosive bottle of holy water, with Alucard Son of Dracula as another world's assistance trophy.
We also saw the huge crocodile villain King K. Rool from the original Donkey King Country games, and Isabelle from Animal Crossing.
So many stages
Smash Bros Ultimate is almost double the number of stages seen in recent games. We are receiving a total of 103 different stages, compared to 56 in the Wii U game, with additional variations depending on how you want the environment to behave.
New stages include Castle of Dracula from the Castlevania series, and even New Donk City Hall by Super Mario Odyssey – complete with the city's singing band to underline the action.
There will also be a new Stage Morph mode, which allows players to teleport their fighters to a new location halfway through a game.
New items, new looks, new Pokémon
It would not be Smash Bros without countless incremental changes, and this game sticks to the trend.
Some of the new items include a one-shot banana gun, a Death Scythe that does more damage to low-life fighters, and a Ramblin & apos; Evil Mushroom that temporarily reverses your enemy's control system.
Knuckles, Shovel Knight and the evil moon of Majora & Mass will join the list of Assist Trophies, while the long-necked Alolan Exeggutor can now be summoned from a Pokéball to clumsily divide the battle scenario in half, which we think it's hysterical.
All classic characters have also received revisions to their look or set of movements. These are just some of the new changes for veterans:
- Samus: New Dark Samus echo fighter, for being evil
- Mario: Throwable Odyssey hat, added wedding suits and constructor
- Ike: Versions of Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn added with different voices
- Pikachu: New female appearance with heart shaped tail to choose
- Fox: Landmaster final smash has been replaced by a direct attack to the point
- Falco: New final calls in a spaceship attack
- Marth: Dance sheet is faster
- Pac-Man: ] Faster thanks in general to a speed increase
- Villager: Users can now choose between eight different characters
Compatible with the GameCube controller
In case you were curious, in fact you can play the game with a GameCube controller. Nintendo has announced a special: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: limited edition & apos; in Europe, which will include a copy of the game along with a dedicated controller and GameCube adapter, no doubt appeasing the nostalgia of those who grew up playing on the previous Nintendo system, or who simply want a more traditional driver design.
Instead, the US version UU It will include a Switch Pro controller with a special Smash Bros design, with a black steel case for the game cartridge.
Masahiro Sakurai is on board
Creator of the Super Smash Bros series, Masahiro Sakurai, confirmed in March that he was working on the recently announced Nintendo Switch title.
Sakurai said in a tweet (through Siliconera ) that he has been "working silently on him day after day". , asking fans to "please wait until we can reveal their content, or until the moment of its release !!"
Sakurai's participation is not surprising, but promising given that he has been involved with all the other Super Smash Bros releases.
A port or something else?
There was a lot of debate about whether the new Super Smash Bros would be a completely new game, or a relaunch & # 39; deluxe & # 39; of Super Smash Bros 4 (the one that appeared simultaneously on Wii U and 3DS in 2014).
The latter would not have been surprising, given that Nintendo had been playing many games of the unwanted Wii U console like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Tournament or Pokkén in the Switch, even if it's more fleshed-out or definitive & apos; versions.
We now know that Ultimate is a new entry of its own, as we work to bring everyone together, and everyone, that we loved the previous games. The new Switch console is the most powerful hardware that Nintendo has ever released, so we are very excited to see what a dedicated Smash game can do on the console.
Super Smash Bros Ultimate: what other characters will appear?
As we mentioned, the previous entry of the series had 58 characters (including those on disk and DLC) and that has been increased to 65, although not all have been announced so far.
There are many characters that have become basic elements of the series (like Mario, Peach, Captain Falco and Kirby) and others (like Sonic The Hedgehog, Ryu and Pac-Man) that have come and gone through the years.
Several months before the game hits the stores, there are sure to be more surprises in store. We would love to see Rex and Pyra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2. The popularity of the memes suggests that Prince Sidon of Breath Of The Wild could appear alongside Nipha. We would love to see the new version of Zelda, too, considering how well received his makeover was.
We could also see some extravagant additions. Could the arrival of Skyrim to Nintendo Switch mean that we will see the classic aspect of Dovahkiin in the new Smash Bros? Those screams of dragons would certainly be useful.
On the other hand, now that we know that Crash Bandicoot is coming to the console, we would love to see it appear in the game. His wild turn is made for Smash Bros and we can see a special movement of TNT.
Certainly we would not be surprised to see the Rabbid rabbits after the success of their joint venture with Mario in 2017.
Naturally the fans have characters that they would love to appear in the game. A character that has been one of the main orders for years is Goku Dragon Ball Z and the demands are repeated. This time, however, Funimation is on the spot and the company has even sent a tweet to Nintendo to ask when Goku will make his debut.
Another character request is more recent, but we love it, LaboMan. Inspired by the little cardboard man who appeared in the trailer for the next Nintendo Labo accessory, Javed L Sterritt designed LaboMan and encouraged him for a Smash Bros appearance. His main move would be to throw the Joy-Con with his back to the enemies, but he will also be able to transform himself into the Labo piano for a super crusher. LaboMan would be a different addition to the list but adorable and branded. Sure
Will there be eSports?
eSports is a field in constant growth and Super Smash Bros would undoubtedly be an excellent title for Nintendo to make a splash. The series has hard-line followers, and videos of fans screaming for the game announcement make it clear that there will be an audience for the competitive game. It's also a great way to show what the Nintendo online service can do when it launches in September.
More significant is that Japan has begun to reduce the regulations on paid tournaments that electronic sports in the country have stopped flourishing. it is possible that Nintendo is enthusiastic about this type of games.
Nintendo has already been organizing tournaments in practical demonstrations, with a conciliatory air for the eSports scene. Historically he has been quite cautious when it comes to eSports, but times change rapidly and online streaming is closely linked to the success of a game; just look at PUBG, Fortnite and Sea of Thieves.
With Nintendo and Super Smash Bros seems to be the title that will see Nintendo to start taking the genre more seriously.
