The Byrdes are back.
The transmission giant has renewed Ozark for a third season.
Jason Bateman, who stars in the series, confirmed the news with a tweet that said: "I'm happy for me, but worried about Marty, it's official that OZARK 3 is on the way." Laura Linney, Sofia Hublitz, Skylar Gaertner Julia Garner, Jason Butler Harner, Peter Mullan and Lisa Emery also star in the crime drama.
The series follows the Byrde family, with Patriarch Marty (Bateman) working as a financial advisor and as a money launderer for a Mexican drug cartel. The second season of Ozark saw the Byrde family immerse themselves even more in the world of crime. Just when they are finally establishing themselves, the Byrdes realize that they all have to go before they can leave.
Ozark was created by Bill Dubuque and Mark Williams. In charge of the script is Chris Mundy. Mundy also serves as executive producer along with Dubuque, Williams and Bateman. Bateman also directed a couple of episodes for which he won an Emmy nomination for Best Director.
