Avril Lavigne found the perfect way to celebrate her birthday this year, releasing an amazing video for her single "Head Above Water". This is one of her most personal songs to date, and the video perfectly captured everything she fought in recent years.
The Canadian singer took a break from show business after being diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2015. Lavigne described these years as the worst of her life, but she could turn her physical and emotional battles into music.
"Head Above Water" was one of the songs he wrote while still confined to his bed. Putting her thoughts into words helped her to cope with the traumatic experience and it came out even stronger.
"It makes my heart so incredibly full to release the music video for Head Above Water for all of you today on my birthday." From the first day I started writing this song, I was inspired and collected visuals and I imagined how the music video could look, "Lavigne wrote on her Twitter.
The creator of hits also thanked the "incredibly talented" director. Elliott Lester for capturing his vision and traveling to Iceland to film this incredible video. "Head Above Water" will be the first single from Lavigne's next studio album he is currently working on.
