Fortnite Monopoly to release in time for Christmas

Epic Games has partnered with Hasbro to create Fortnite Monopoly.

The creative director of Epic Games, Donald Mustard, revealed via Twitter that the board game will be launched on October 1. In addition, Mustard shared an image of the latest art and game board for the board game inspired by Fortnite.

Here is what it looks like:

The last player standing

At first glance, the unique Monopoly effect of Epic Games seems to be similar to the original. However, instead of coveting Mayfair or Boardwalk, players will fight to take Tilted Towers along with other Fortnite location names.

Perhaps the biggest change is that money is not the goal. According to IGN, players have points of life instead of cash and each of the two dice has a unique purpose: one is for movement and the other is for "action". It depends on the players if they will move or perform an action first. Actions include using bandages to restore health, shoot other players with a sight, build a wall or throw a Boogie Bomb to harm your opponent. If you lose all your health, then you lose.

But what about the storm? There are storm spaces on the board that automatically hit two lives of a player when it lands.

How much will it cost?

Fortnite Monopoly will be available from October 1 around the world, however, neither Hasbro nor Epic Games have revealed the retail price.
