As revealed in the incredible E3 conference in Bethesda, Fallout 76 is an online survival game that can be played in cooperative single-player or multiplayer mode. It will be a prequel to all previous games, established 25 years after the Great War of 2077, and will take place in the lush, green hills of West Virginia, which seem to have been (relatively) apart from the nuclear consequences.
Uses an updated version of the Fallout 4 engine with enhanced lighting and rendering that allows "16 times" the level of detail. Fallout 76 will also be "four times" the size of Fallout 4. That's all according to the game's executive producer, Todd Howard. Now, Howard is known to have exaggerated from time to time, but we hope he is telling the truth in this case.

We knew that the game would have a player focus but, until recently, we barely knew details about the main campaign plot. At Gamescom in August 2018, Todd Howard and Pete Hines of Bethesda gave us some juicy details and alleviated some fears about the abuse of nuclear weapons.
In a piece of Game Informer, Howard declares that the story will begin with the departure of Vault Supervisor of the 76. "He left before anyone else, he left secret instructions for you, and that is the starting point for what we call In the end, you launch nuclear weapons, nuclear weapons are a game system, but they are also part of the main story. "
Howard also revealed that the main story is extensive, you will have to be a "high level" to complete it, and you can not access the nuclear weapons to shoot your fellow Wastelanders until you have done it. Fortunately, we have now learned that the Nuclear weapons can only be cast on specific parts of the map, which should prevent rioters from taking you to the kingdom on a whim.

In addition to the official In the previous trailer, Bethesda He released a trailer dedicated to building bases in the new game. The building system in Fallout 4 was one of the most divisive aspects of the game, so there will surely be complaints if the mechanic is essential to the game's history. This trailer also shows more of the combat we can expect to see in Fallout 76, as well as how players will work together to play in an online cooperative.
There will also be several nuclear sites scattered across the vast map of Virginia, which players can apparently use to nuke each other's carefully constructed bases.

Fallout 76: what we know so far
Now we know much more than before E3; back then we only had a short film trailer to go through. We did not even know if it was a complete Fallout game or a spin-off in the same Fallout Shelter shelter. But now it's clear that Fallout 76 is not just a complete game but also the largest in the Fallout franchise, four times the size of Fallout 4, in fact. As for the gameplay, it seems to be a small-scale MMO in which up to four players can take control of the inhabitant of Vault 76 and work together to survive and rebuild civilization. Bethesda has confirmed that, although it is completely online, there will be the option to play singleplayer if you choose.
The number 76 means Vault 76, the location of the first trailer and where the game will start. This Vault appeared twice in previous Fallout games, but only by name.
The Fallout Wiki page on Vault 76 tells us that this underground bunker housed 500 occupants and was designed by the turbulent technology company VaultTec to open only 20 years later the bombs dropped, which would place the timeline of the game in the year 2097. But wait! The date in the Pipboy at the beginning of the advance shows that the date is October 21, 2102, 5 years after the opening of the Vault. Could this be the reason why it is empty? Fallout 76 sees him leave the vault to re-colonize America along with the rest of his inhabitants of Vault, and is by far the first stage in the Fallout timeline in which he can actually go out into the nuclear desert.

Fallout 76: When will it come out?
Fallout 76 was confirmed by Bethesda on November 14, 2018. It will reach Xbox One, PS4 and PC, and may be pre-ordered from June 15. That means we have approximately five months to accomplish everything we want to do in our lives before this game reclaims our social lives forever.
Fallout 76: On what consoles will you play?
As we can see clearly in the trailers, Fallout 76 definitely runs in an improved version of Creation Engine like Fallout 4, so if you want to play you'll need a PS4, Xbox One or a PC with decent specifications. Fallout 4 did not appear on the Nintendo Switch, although it eventually did a modified version of Skyrim; if Fallout 76 arrives at the Switch, it certainly will not be at the time of the initial release.
Watch this space for more news of Fallout 76. Although, after the avalanche of content in E3, there should be enough to get you dizzy until the game's release. if not, you can always play Fallout 4 for free, as it has just been added to Xbox Games Pass.
