Dropbox could be running behind Google Drive in regards to storage, but there is an update of the mobile application that is developed with some useful features. Today's update initiates updates, but not all new features will be available immediately.
This is what you can expect (eventually) in the updated Dropbox application.
- File activity
- Optimized file preview design [19659004] Centralized home screen
The new file activity viewer can be accessed when previewing a file. One touch shows a list of events such as editions, shared resources and more. Those with Dropbox professionals and businesses will also get the story of the viewer. Speaking of previews, they are better in the updated app. You can add comments online and all comments from other users are available at the bottom of the preview.
A new home screen is coming to this version of the application as well. It will list important content as featured items and those that you recently accessed. The images are also bigger on this screen. Dropbox says that this feature will not be available immediately. It will be deployed "during the next weeks".
