YouTube Red jumped to the remake train last fall with a serial order for a sequel to Karate Kid called Cobra Kai . The first season of 10 episodes premiered earlier this month in paid service, and this week, YouTube revealed that it was renewing the program for a second season.
The program follows Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) when he reopens the Cobra Kai karate dojo and restarts his rivalry with Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio), taken back 30 years after the events of the original 1984 film. the first, the second season will contain 10 episodes of 30 minutes and will be released on YouTube Red sometime in 2019.
