Instagram has announced a new variation of its Stories tag for Stories: now there's an emoji slider that lets you ask and answer questions with an animated emoji on a sliding scale.
The mobile scale allows users to ask people "how" Instead of simply choosing between two options, using an emoji options to add context to the question. For example, you might have a slider to ask what an artist's new single is like or how friends like their food. The emoji will be animated as you drag it up or down the scale, and you can check how the individual friends responded and see the overall average of all the answers.
To add an emoji slider sticker on your Instagram story, choose one from the sticker tray (where you'll find other options, such as polling and location) after taking a picture or a video. Then locate it, write a question and choose the emoji you want to use. (Instagram says you can use "almost any emoji from your library")
Instagram emoji slider should be available as part of the latest Instagram update for Android and iOS.
