What we hope to see

Microsoft Build is sure to include some awesome updates for Windows 10, new software, advanced AR and VR, here everything we expect from the program next week.

  Microsoft Build 2018

Redstone 5

Sure, we just got the Windows Update April 10, 2018 but Windows Insiders are already testing Redstone 5 . Therefore, we hope to hear a little about the interesting features rumored for the next major update of the reference operating system.

This is the update where we expect to see the new feature New Microsoft Sets that will allow users to group different applications and websites in a single window, just like tabs in a web browser. We also expect to see some improvements in the quality of life of the Windows 10 task and search bar.

Office 365 / Office 2019

It may not be the most exciting thing for non-professionals, but we hope to focus on Microsoft Office 2019. The software maker has just released a preliminary version of Office 2019 for companies, and seeing how we have not seen a perpetual release of Office since 2016: Microsoft Office 2019 is going to be a big business.

We probably will not see much for Office 365 since users already have access to all the new features in Office 2019; After all, successive updates are the main point of sale. However, that does not mean that Microsoft does not have surprises up its sleeve. We'll have to wait and see.

  Microsoft Build 2018

Windows Mixed Reality

We just received a series of Mixed Reality updates in the Windows update on April 10, 2018, but we do not think Microsoft slows down here. We're not sure exactly what Microsoft has planned for the mixed reality in Redstone 5 and beyond, but we hope at least to see a continuation of its recent efforts to improve performance and ease of use.

More AI

AI is one of the most important things in the technology industry in 2018, and Microsoft has already taken important steps to capitalize on it, and you can be sure that It will be a great focus in Microsoft Build 2018. Windows Machine Learning (WinML) is an API that allows developers to incorporate machine learning models into their applications. And, because WinML is a relatively recent technology, we expect Microsoft to go into many details about it.

This is a developer event, after all.

Whether it's improvements to the WinML API introduced in the Windows Update on April 10, 2018 or simply showing its capabilities to developers, we expect many sessions to focus on artificial intelligence, its capabilities and maybe in some new features.

Azure and the cloud

Azure Microsoft's cloud computing service has always been a big part of compilation conferences and we see no reason for the trend to stop now . Especially because the segment grew 17% according to the company's latest quarterly financial results . As in previous events, we expect Microsoft to make a statement about all the improvements they have made and how they will meet all the demands of the developers.

  Microsoft Build 2018

Smart home devices and IoT

It's not hard to see that in 2018, Microsoft is a bit behind Google and Amazon when it comes to smart home. However, we can see Microsoft trying to implement its virtual assistant Cortana on more devices, even announcing some new hardware associations.

Thanks to Cortana's skill kit, Cortana is more capable than ever before, and you even care whether you live or die. Then, we should see that Cortana improves over time, has a large installation base, after all, it is a potential gold mine.

As for which devices will Cortana make its appearance? Who knows. However, the Harman Kardon invocation, while not particularly popular, was still a promising device, so we can see a follow-up.
