What is the HyperX Cloud Alpha?
The HyperX Cloud Alpha is possibly the best analog headset I've ever tried. With a price less than £ 100, you will receive a lot of headphones for your money, as it is very well placed, it is incredibly comfortable to wear and sounds absolutely amazing.
Undoubtedly, there will be many people who would prefer a wireless connection, or USB-equipped headphones, but if it's on the market for a couple of old-school wired cans, there's no better option at this time.

HyperX Cloud Alpha: design, construction and features
The Cloud Alpha is a smaller hearing aid compared to key rivals, but it is still noticeable that it is larger than dedicated hearing aids. It is also a bit more visual and less discreet, but I love the look and design language that HyperX has chosen. It is quite similar to cloud II, although at the time of writing, unfortunately they are not the same color options, you can have any color you want, as long as it is red.
The build quality is strong, with a solid aluminum frame for the structure, and softer matte plastics on the headphones. The Alpha feels very comfortable against the head, with a firm but relaxing grip force, and with plenty of memory foam filling in the cups and headband. The band does not adjust automatically as with the Cloud Revolver, but fits comfortably and can be easily adjusted.
The Cloud Alpha is meant to last, since the microphone, cable and headphones can be removed and replaced. HyperX chose to use a leatherette material on the Alpha, which will warm a little more than the fabric, but creates a tighter seal around the ears, and is very comfortable during extended play sessions. Unfortunately, there is only a single set of pads included in the box, which is a bit disappointing and unusual for HyperX.
The microphone connects quickly and easily to the side of the headphones, and can be adjusted thanks to the flexible stem. There is also a large pop filter on the end to reduce the breaking of sounds & # 39; p & # 39; when recording voices
The connection to a computer is simple, with a shorter cable that houses a single 4-pole connector for use with consoles and mobile devices and a double-jack extension cable to connect it to the front panel of your PC. In-line controls are present in the cable and allow you to adjust the volume and mute the microphone.

HyperX Cloud Alpha – Audio Quality
Continue audio performance, and this is where the Alpha really begins to demonstrate its talents. In a nutshell, this is the best analog headset in its price range per field mile, and to say that it instantly impressed would be a serious understatement.
It does not matter if you're playing tropical melodies from Soundcloud, watching YouTube Videos or crossing the oceans in Sea Of Thieves: Cloud Alpha never fails to offer clear, balanced and well-defined audio. It's fair to say that it has a slight firm bassy sound, but this is perfect for games, and it's never overwhelming unlike many of its rivals.
There is no virtual surround sound, of course, but very rarely do I use it in compatible headsets anyway, and the Windows 10 PC and Xbox consoles can now enable Atmos surround sound through any handset through the Dolby application. If you have surround sound in all the titles, I advise you to watch the Cloud II, although the audio quality will be affected.
It is remarkable how close they are to being a well-specified headset, and although they are not up to the Sennheiser's Momentum in their ear, they are not even a million kilometers away.
The microphone is also a leader in its class in many ways, as it is clear, concise and free of static. in my game settings. I would not recommend it to those who want to broadcast professionally, but it is one of the best microphones with microphone that I have used, and it is perfect for discord and chat in the game.
The biggest consideration when looking at these headphones is if an analog headset is the best for your needs. Without any internal processing, the audio quality of the Cloud Alpha will depend on the input device, and as such, computers with weak DACs (digital-to-analog converters) will sound more murky, with static interference present in their recordings. I am very satisfied with the results of my Asus X299 Strix motherboard, but its mileage will vary, and a USB headset may be the best option for you.

The design flexibility makes it ideal for consoles, mobile phones and PCs, and audio quality It is far superior to that of other headphones that I have tested in its price range.
