Intel’s newest Optane 905P is a ludicrously fast SSD

Intel is up to date with the introduction of new Optane storage solutions and now the company has announced its fastest disk so far.

Get to know the new Optane SSD 905P. It has the highest random reading with a score of 575,000 IOPS and random writing with a 555,000 IOP rating that we have never seen. Its sequential readings of 2,600MB / s and sequential write speeds of 2,200MB / s may seem pedestrian compared to NVMe 970 Evo and WD Black SSD that we tested last week, but make no mistake, this is a fast solid state drive . [19659002] The Optan SSD 905P, is based on the incredibly fast performance we saw from the latest generation of Intel Optane 900P. Compared to its predecessor, Optane 905P achieves 25,000 higher IOPs in random readings and 50,000 higher IOPs in random write.

In addition, the 905P series also comes in larger capacities of up to 960GB, double that of the larger Intel Optane 900P 480GB.

Like its predecessor, Intel Optane 905P drives come in two variants: a PCie expansion card (which now has built-in RGB lighting) and a more traditional 2.5-inch model. The above only comes in a capacity of 960 GB for $ 1,119 (approximately £ 825, AU $ 1,490) while the 2.5-inch disk version oscillates 480GB of storage space and costs $ 599 (approximately £ 440, AU $ 800).
