Dell Technologies today introduced its new thin client, the Dell Wyse 5070. With a slightly thicker design than previous models, the Wyse 5070 offers much more flexible and scalable configurations, theoretically up to 1,600, depending on the individual needs of the organization.
The Wyse 5070 thin client can be configured with various processor, graphics and memory configurations, and then it can be equipped with specialized options, such as support for up to six screens.
Can be installed in Citrix, Microsoft, or VMware environments, and can run Wyse ThinOS from Dell, ThinLinux, or Windows 10 IoT Enterprise. In terms of connectivity, it also has options for 4K graphics on multiple monitors at 60Hz, USB 3.1 type C and a total of 21 ports and slots for greater expansion capacity.
The Wyse 5070 thin client will be available in June 2018 in the US. UU select countries around the world, starting at $ 450.
New support for the 14th generation PowerEdge server infrastructure
The expansion of Dell's complete VDI solutions offer was also announced to include support for Dell EMC PowerEdge servers of 14th generation based on Dell EMC VxRail and vSAN Ready nodes. This also adds NVIDIA Quadro virtual Data Center Workstation software (Quadro vDWS) and NVIDIA Tesla P40 GPU for professional workstation class workloads.
