A super-loud Boombox Speaker is the latest LG G7 ThinQ feature to get confirmed

LG seems to enjoy the accumulation of the arrival of the LG G7 ThinQ, which will be officially presented on May 2. The latest feature mocked by the company is the previously rumored Boombox speaker phone, apparently increasing the volume by 6dB and doubling the bass output of everything that has been heard before (at least on an LG phone).

In fact, LG claims that it can increase the volume up to ten times more than a normal smartphone, due to the way it uses the space inside the phone as a resonance camera. Placing the phone on a solid surface amplifies the bass even more, apparently.

Another feature that LG has confirmed is DTS: X 3D Surround Sound, designed to create the illusion of immersive 3D sound from your phone, as long as you have your headphones plugged in (the 3.5 mm audio jack stays stuck) . LG also includes a Hi-Fi Quad DAC within the LG G7 ThinQ to maximize audio accuracy.

This is what we know

All of which should be good news for audio lovers and makes us wonder exactly what LG could be holding for the LG V35 ThinQ, scheduled to arrive later in the year – this Type of high-end extras are usually retained for the V line, so perhaps the phones are more balanced this time.

In addition to the official release date of May 2, there are many things we already know (or think we know) about the LG G7 ThinQ. It is planned to come with a ultra-bright 6.1-inch screen, an optional notch that you can turn off in the software, a Snapdragon 845 chipset and 4 GB of RAM.

On paper, at least, it seems capable of facing the big hitters. Apple, Samsung and Google, but we will have to wait to get our hands on the phone to judge how good it really is. If you often want to use your phone as a portable speaker, LG has just given you another reason to put the LG G7 ThinQ on your shopping list.
