Lucasfilm has released a feature film entitled "Becoming Solo", which delves into the world of his next film, Solo: A Star Wars Story and where his titular hero fits.
Only director Ron Howard opens the video saying that this film shows a world we have not really seen much in the franchise: one in which the Empire has total control. He points out that everyone is struggling to survive, and that Han is a rare "free spirit".
"You end up seeing how this guy has to be the way he is," says Han Solo actor Alden Ehrenreich, while his co-star Donald Glover (who plays Lando Calrissian) adds that "we will meet with Han just before he become the Han we know. " The lone writer Lawrence Kasdan points out that he is the most exciting character in the series, because "you do not know what he is going to do", and that he is incredibly reckless, something that we certainly see more in other installments of the franchise.
There's a bit of new footage next to the interviews: we see Han in imperial armor fighting on what we know as the swampy planet Mimban, where he is joined by Tobias Beckett (Woody Harrelson) and Val (played by Westworld & # 39; s Thandie Newton). There are also some additional scenes that we have seen in previous teasers and trailers: how he met Chewbacca, the stealing of trains in Vandor and how he won Lando's Millennium Falcon.
Solo: A Star Wars Story hits theaters on May 25.
