Garmin has just announced the Approach S10, a golf watch that comes preloaded with maps for more than 41,000 courses around the world.
For each of these courses you can see the exact distance to the front, the middle and the back of the green in each hole, as well as the distances to dangers, curves and trays, and you should not have to squint to see Do it, since the Garmin Approach S10 also has a 1.3-inch screen apparently high resolution and readable in direct sunlight.
It comes with a packed GPS, which allows you to automatically detect the course and the hole it is in, so there is no need to manually select them, and it allows you to enter your score on the clock.
Water- resistant and cheap
You can play in the rain or take the Approach S10 to the shower, as it is waterproof to 5ATM, and after each round of golf it will show you the distance traveled, the time played and the score, plus allow you to upload your stats to the weekly leader of the Garmin Golfb Oard application.
Garmin says the Approach S10 is comfortable and lightweight, and you should get 12 hours of battery life when using GPS mode.
It has not yet been released, but will be released in quarter 2 (April-June)) for £ 139.99 (around $ 195 / AU $ 255). That makes it one of Garmin's cheapest golf watches, underestimating even the Garmin Approach X10, a basic portable device with a similar set of features.
