The Beijing International Automotive Expo 2018 is currently running in China, and Mercedes has introduced a new high-end luxury SUV concept at the event. The Mercedes-Maybach Ultimate Luxury SUV has a spacious interior and there is even a personalized tea set hidden in the car's console. The car is elegant, cherry red, and is aimed at the Chinese market, where the red color symbolizes happiness, luck and joy.

The model is designed as fully electric, with all-wheel drive and four seats (one driver) and three passengers). Mercedes says the system allows a load capacity of up to 350kW, and with five minutes of charging, the car will have an additional range of 62 miles (100km). It can be charged by cable or by induction.

The seats are placed significantly higher than in other SUVs. Mercedes said it came from the desire of many of her clients to have "a sense of protection and safety." The white seats are made of nappa leather, and the interior details are in rose gold. The exterior faceplate also features the chrome radiator grilles that were first debuted in the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 in 2016.

The vehicle has 12.3-inch dual screens for the driver, a touch screen and a panel touch in the center console. and touch the control buttons on the steering wheel. There is also the ability to control by voice, and Mercedes says that the system adjusts to the voice of the user and adapts to the new words used.

The company says that the design blends influences from the Western Hemisphere and the Far East. It also incorporates elements of Chinese design such as ebony, which Mercedes says is known as "Magic Wood" that is often used in Chinese furniture. The tea set, which includes a teapot and cups, is made of porcelain, and the sculpted wooden tray is made of ebony. The console is equipped with a built-in heated tray so you can drink tea without worrying about where to boil the water. You can access the tea set by pressing a button that reveals it electronically. Mercedes says there are also a variety of teas available and "relaxation programs" for passengers sitting in the back.

According to Mercedes, the car is smart enough to "act in advance" and play music to match your current mood and plan routes according to your appointments. The car also features the Mercedes Energizing Control, a wellness tool that systematically controls the climate control system and vehicle seats to optimize the comfort of the driver and passengers. The system controls how cold or hot the car is, the fragrances released, the music reproduced and the functions of heating, ventilation and massage in the seats.
