Google teases new Chrome tabs as part of Material Design overhaul

Google is working on a Material Design Update for your Chrome web browser. The search giant has begun to test the design of Chrome in the latest versions of the Canarian development engine developer, which allows anyone to know first-hand what Google is experiencing. The most obvious addition is a new address bar with rounded tabs, which look ugly in the desktop version of Chrome. The rounded corners of Google on the tabs look much more like the old Firefox design, and look very different from the current trapezoid tabs found in the existing version of Chrome.

9to5Google reports that Google has also published an updated Material Design document, which refers to a "Material Design Refresh" instead of the name "Material Design 2" that we had seen earlier this year. The update seems to coincide with the changes that Google is making in Chrome, making it more compatible with the use of the Chrome operating system. The rounded appearance of Google in Chrome also matches the company's plans for an updated Gmail interface, which should be released very soon.

Google celebrates its I / O developer conference in early May, and the company is expected to further detail its Material Design Refresh project, which will likely reach many more products than just Gmail and Chrome.
