Just a few days before the launch of Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 in India, a leak in GSMArena has revealed a number of significant details about the new smartphone. It has not been too long since Asus announced his association with Flipkart indicating that the Zenfone Max Pro M1 will be available on the online shopping portal after the phone launch on April 23 .
Instead of walking around the bush, let's start with the most impressive specification that has come to light. The Zenfone Max Pro M1 will come with a 5000mAh battery . Taking into account other aspects, given that the size of the battery alone does not determine the battery life, the phone should last a day and a half.
What else?
The leaked sheet follows previous rumors that the phone runs on a Snapdragon 636 chipset, which is not that bad, but it should be noted that the Snapdragon 660 is already on the market. The last set of chips has more power, although the old SoC has an octa-core Kryo processor as its counterpart.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 also runs on Snapdragon 636 although the phone price starts at Rs 9,990. The Zenfone Max Pro M1 will have to have a competitive price to face its challenger Xiaomi.
The Indonesian site publication also indicates that the phone will have a dual 16 megapixel camera configuration and a 16 megapixel selfie camera on the front. Although the recent trend in smartphones is to increase the number of pixels, a camera of 16MP is enough to take decent photos depending on the aperture, the size of the pixel and the size of the camera sensor.
In terms of capacity, the phone seems to have up to 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. The strategic use of the word "up" implies that the phone can be started as different variants, where a 4GB or 3GB RAM device can also be present.
Like its predecessor, the Zenfone Max Plus M1, the new Asus smartphone will also include the facial unlocking feature and a fingerprint sensor. However, what could be different is that, since no other user interface (UI) is mentioned in the filtered sheet, the phone could be Android One .
The price of the new Asus phone will play an important role is to decide how it faces competition in the market. Xiaomi has already launched its mid-range smartphones and Motorola is ready to take the Moto G6 series to India in the coming months.
