Football Manager will make his debut on Nintendo Switch today, the editor Sega has confirmed.
Called Football Manager Touch 2018, this version is reminiscent of the tablet edition of the game in terms of features, although the 3D Match Engine also includes the main series (a first for home consoles).
Thanks to the user interface of the game and the personalized controls that were developed especially for the Switch, players have the option of using the touch screen of the Switch or the Joy-Cons to control the game.
A perfect combination
Although this is something like a guerrilla launch, it was not completely unexpected. Last month, the director of Football Manager, Miles Jacobson, took to Twitter a great clue:
When gulls follow trailing trawls, it is because they believe that sardines will be thrown into the sea. We are not ready to talk about this, but we will soon. Look out for @footballmanager to change flavored sardines. March 23, 2018
Even more recently, Engadget reported that the game would come to the Switch after a source close to Sega said the game "would arrive soon." "
Although Football Manager is ideal for the Switch hybrid, fans may be disappointed that they are not finally getting a portable version of the mainline game and simply have another platform to play the Touch edition. Deep systems of a main Football Manager game may not be the best suited to play on a daily trip and the 3D Match Engine should make playing on your home television more satisfying.
Football Manager Touch 2018 can be purchased on the Nintendo eShop as of today.
