Players with tight budgets will soon have a new and more colorful option. The affordable HP Pavilion Gaming laptop is receiving a lot of new features and color accents: white, green and purple. The laptop will be available in May and June of this year starting at $ 799.
The Pavilion Gaming has a new design with a minimum of bevels on the sides. Some models will obtain an aluminum keyboard platform. The design is very angular, which according to the company helps ventilation and thermal performance. In addition, a new speaker design composed of triangles gives it a distinctive look.
There will be some different configurations. One, which HP says will be available in "select markets," comes with white accents and a backlit white keyboard, along with an 8-generation U-series CPU and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 GPU.
Models More advanced come with either ghost white, green acid or ultraviolet (read: purple), 8th Gen 4 processors or 6-core H-series "Coffee Lake", with a GTX 1060 Max-Q or AMD Raden RX 560X GPU.
Players who want the best images can get a 144Hz 1080p screen, although if you are looking to save a few dollars, a 60Hz option is available. If you prefer resolution over frame rate, go for the 4K option (although you can not play 4K games with these specifications, it's more for movies).
As for storage, there is a massive list of options with various sizes of 7,200 rpm hard drives, SSD and even Intel Optane, as well as combinations of them.
HP is also updating its game desktops from $ 549, launching at the same time.
